Something seems to solidify once you know the gender, though. We intended to go the entire pregnancy without knowing the gender for our first two kids (I figured I might need a little more motivation to finish labor), plus I liked the idea of the old-fashioned surprise. But with #3, we felt we needed to know in advance to prepare our home and our two older kids. After all, with one wanting a sister and the other wanting a brother, someone was going to be disappointed. I loved finding out about our baby being a girl during our 4D sonogram in the family room at Stork Vision with our children there next to us. It was a special time, and it definitely marked how I thought throughout the remainder of the pregnancy (no more "it", but rather "she").
Tara & Tony Phelps had a Thing 1, Thing 2 Twin Gender Reveal Crawfish Boil. With 3 daughters and 1 son, they eagerly bit into their gender reveal cupcakes to see what gender each of the twins were.
And although Tyler looked and looked for where the blue balloons might be, they were ALL PINK! Congratulations to Tara & Tony! Carleigh and Caleigh arrived in July 2012.
